User Guide - Zennio License Manager
First of all, it is important to note the difference between license code (LC) and license file (.lic).
- License Code (LC):
- Alphanumeric code received when acquiring references virtual licenses or license boxes.
- Not associated to a specific device.
- Can be redeemed for a license file (.lic) just once.
- License file (.lic):
- Can be loaded into a device and unlocks specific functionalities.
- Is always associated to a specific touch panel serial number (CSN).
Taking that into account, there are two types of licenses:
- Virtual licenses are license codes that can be redeemed for a license file (.lic) to be loaded into a device. When ordering a virtual license, the corresponding license code (not associated to a specific device) will be loaded to your customer profile in Zennio License Manager.
- License boxes include a license code (LC), so that the end customer can redeem it. When ordering a license box, the CSN of the box will be listed in your profile. The customer will be able to redeem it by entering the LC included inside the box and the CSN of the device. After that, the license file will also be available in your profile.
Once in the profile you can:
- Redeem a license code for a device (entering its CSN).
- Assign a license code to a client (mark as ‘sold’). Marking a license code as ‘sold’ will allow internal control so that the LC is not assigned to another client. The client will receive a notification and will be able to find and redeem the license by accessing their customer profile in Zennio License Manager. Once the client redeems the license the date it was redeemed will be shown and you will be able to download that license again.
- View and download licenses that have been redeemed by the clients.
Once you have downloaded your license from the platform, you can import it in your device following these instructions.
